SEO for Pressure Washing Companies, From Driveways to Commercial Contracts

By Mohamed Eltoukhy, founder of EVOGENCY ·

Pressure washing looks simple from the outside. Point the wand, watch the grime disappear, collect the check. The hard part is getting the phone to ring often enough, and for most companies that comes down to whether Google shows you when someone nearby is looking.

The good news is that most pressure washing companies have weak websites and half finished Google profiles. That means a little real effort goes a long way.

Two buyers, two searches

A homeowner searches things like "driveway cleaning near me," "house washing," or "roof soft wash." They want a fair price, proof you won't damage anything, and an easy way to book. A property manager or business owner searches "commercial pressure washing," "parking lot cleaning," or "HOA pressure washing contract." They care about insurance, scheduling, and whether you can handle a big site without drama.

One generic homepage can't speak to both. Give each its own page. A residential page talks about curb appeal, safe cleaning methods, and before and after photos. A commercial page talks about insurance, recurring schedules, working around business hours, and the size of sites you've handled.

Service pages that match how people search

People rarely search for "exterior cleaning services." They search for the specific job. Build a page for each service you actually want more of, such as house washing, driveway and concrete cleaning, roof soft washing, pool deck and patio cleaning, and fence or deck restoration.

On each page, explain what the job involves, how long it usually takes, and what makes the price go up or down. Mention the method honestly. If you soft wash roofs instead of blasting them with high pressure, say so and explain why, because that's exactly the worry a homeowner has.

Your Google Business Profile does the heavy lifting

For "near me" searches, the map results usually get the call before the regular results do. Pick the most accurate primary category Google offers for your work, set a real service area instead of a giant circle, and keep your hours honest.

Then feed it photos. Pressure washing is one of the most visual trades there is. A split shot of a dirty driveway next to the clean one is the most persuasive thing you can post, and Google lets you add photos any time. Add new ones every week from real jobs.

Reviews that mention the work

Ask every customer for a review, the same way, every time. A short text with a direct link right after you pack up works far better than a reminder a week later. When customers mention the service and the town in their own words ("they soft washed our roof in Winter Park"), that language helps both Google and the next person reading.

Don't forget the seasonal searches

Demand shifts with the calendar. Spring brings pollen and mildew, people clean up before holidays and family visits, and businesses want things spotless before busy seasons. A short, useful post or profile update before each of those moments puts you in front of people right when they start looking.

Where to start this week

Finish your Google Business Profile, upload ten real before and after photos, and build one strong page for your most profitable service. Then ask every customer for a review before you leave. If you want a second set of eyes on where you stand right now, a free audit is the quickest way to find out.
