What a Cleaning Company Website Needs to Turn Visitors Into Bookings

By Mohamed Eltoukhy, founder of EVOGENCY ·

Hiring a cleaning company means trusting strangers in your home or business, often while you're not there. That's a big ask. Your website's main job is to make that trust feel easy, then make booking even easier.

Here's how to design a cleaning website that does both.

Separate residential and commercial

Homeowners and office managers want different things. Homeowners care about trust, flexibility, pets, and how their home will be treated. Commercial clients care about reliability, after hours schedules, insurance, and consistency across visits. Give each audience its own page with its own language.

Explain each service clearly

List your services with real detail. What's included in a standard clean, a deep clean, a move in or move out clean, or post construction cleaning? A clear checklist of what gets done in each room removes guesswork and reduces disputes later.

Pricing guidance helps conversions

Cleaning is a service where people really want a number. If you can, offer an instant estimate based on home size and service type, or at least share starting prices and explain what changes the price, like square footage, condition, pets, and frequency. Mention recurring service discounts if you offer them.

Build trust on every page

Say clearly whether your cleaners are employees or contractors, whether they're background checked, and whether you're insured and bonded. Show photos of your real team. Explain what happens if something gets damaged or a client isn't happy, like a reclean policy. These details answer the questions people are afraid to ask.

Make booking simple

Online booking with available times, a clear price, and a confirmation is ideal. If you need a walkthrough first, make requesting one quick. Keep forms short and tell people exactly what happens next.

Add a tappable phone number and text option for people who prefer to talk.

Show reviews and consistency

Reviews that mention reliability and the same friendly cleaner every time are gold. Feature a few on your homepage and link to your Google profile. If you have long term clients, mention how long they've been with you.

Answer the awkward questions

People have questions they feel silly asking on the phone. Do I need to be home? Do I need to tidy up first? Do you bring your own supplies and vacuum? What about my pets? Can I request the same cleaner every time? A short FAQ that answers these plainly saves your team time and removes the small doubts that stop people from booking.

Mobile first, always

Many people book cleaning from their phone during a busy day. Make sure the site loads fast, buttons are easy to tap, and the booking flow works smoothly on a small screen.

The short version

Separate pages for homes and businesses, clear service checklists, honest pricing guidance, trust details front and center, and easy booking. If you'd like an outside look at your current website, start with our free audit.
