SEO for Med Spas, Ranking for Treatments Without Overpromising
By Mohamed Eltoukhy, founder of EVOGENCY ·
Med spa clients don't impulse buy. Someone considering injectables, laser treatments, or body contouring usually researches for weeks. They compare providers, read reviews, look at results, and try to figure out who they can trust with their face and body. That research mostly happens on Google.
Here's how med spas can show up in that research and turn it into consultations.
Build a page for every treatment
People search for specific treatments, not "med spa services." They search things like "lip filler Orlando," "laser hair removal near me," or "microneedling cost." Each treatment you want to sell deserves its own page.
A strong treatment page explains what it is, who it's for, what to expect during and after, how many sessions people usually need, how long results typically last, and what affects cost. Write it for a curious, slightly nervous reader.
Accuracy is a ranking factor and a legal one
Health related content is held to a higher standard by Google, because wrong information can hurt people. It's also regulated. Claims about medical treatments need to be accurate, and devices and products should be described the way they're approved or cleared.
Avoid promises like "guaranteed results" or "no downtime" unless they're truly accurate. Have your medical director review treatment pages. Credible, careful content builds more trust than hype anyway.
Show who's doing the treatment
Clients want to know the credentials of the person holding the needle or laser. Put real provider bios on your site, including licenses, training, and experience. In your Google profile and website, make it clear who oversees treatments.
Before and after photos, done right
Results photos are powerful. Use only your own patients' photos, with written consent. Keep lighting and angles consistent so comparisons are honest, and avoid heavy editing. Add a note that results vary.
Your Google Business Profile
Choose the most accurate category, list your treatments as services, post photos of your space and team, and keep hours current. Many people check whether a med spa looks clean, modern, and professional before booking.
Reviews and privacy
Ask every client for a review after their treatment. When replying, never confirm that someone is a patient or mention their treatment, even if they mentioned it first. A warm, general thank you protects their privacy and yours.
Answer the cost question
Cost is one of the most searched questions. You don't need fixed prices, but explaining how pricing works, like per unit, per syringe, per area, or per session, and offering starting points where you're comfortable builds trust.
Where to start
